Its a neighbour of ours who owns the mare and foal. They were about to put her down day before yesterday but decided to give her a little more time.....and it seems she may actually survive.  Im so delighted. Its a miracle...but it goes to show how important it is to cover animals against tetanus...and how the Irish Horse Board badly need to set up a resourse for people who find themselves in the horrible situation of needing a foster mare or losing a foal and having a mare to offer.
